Jodie Holstein-Otte specializes in maternity, newborn, and child photography.

Jodie's work has been in many local publications such as BabySteps and Modern Babies and Children, but also in larger publications such as Parents, Baby Talk, American Baby, InStyle, People Magazine, the New York Times, and on Fox News in Baltimore. She has been published in the Big Book of Babies by J.C. Suares, and is known nationally as the photographer behind the Similac Infant Formula ad campaigns 2009 and 2010. Her work may also be seen in books, publications, and teaching material for medical professionals.

Jodie began as an artist painting traditional portraits by hand in pastels and oils many years ago, and portrait photography became a natural progression. She strives to maintain realism amongst these days of digital processing and creates images full of warmth and peace with classic rich tones using both natural light and studio lighting. She is known for her simplistic natural approach to studio lighting in her book Studio Lighting Naturally. Her nature work has been seen on greeting cards across the United States and in local gallery showings and exhibits.

In her spare time, you will find Jodie spending time out in the cornfields with her husband of 15 years and watching her son, Barrett (age 13) play football, and riding her horses with her daughter, Erynn (age 10) and stepdaughter, Ally (age 20).
