Baltimore Photography Studio - About

Children's Photographer, Jodie Holstein-Otte, photographs children, babies, families and pregnancy out of her Monkton portrait studio which is located in Northern Baltimore County, Maryland.  The Otte Studio is located in the historic Monkton Hotel at:

Jodie's photography studio is open by appointment only.  With it's beautiful original 160+ year old refurbished plank wood floors and exposed brick, and comfortable atmosphere, the studio is ideal for children's portraits as well as baby and pregnancy portraits.  The studio also contains more traditional backdrops as an option; however, the backdrops are chosen to be more neutral and natural in their colors to bring out warm tones.

Jodie is a photographer who loves to shoot outdoors as well.  Her photography studio is located on historic property and next to park land.  The NCR trail runs adjacent to the studio property with Monkton Station which connects to a lovely outdoor landscaped location, maintained by the Gunpowder Garden Club which is ideal for beautiful textures and areas for children to pick flowers or throw leaves, and just be themselves which result in gorgeous photographs showing who your children are, yet accented by the beauty of the surroundings.

Looking for a place to eat after a photography session at the J. Otte Studio?  The Manor Tavern is located right in the heart of Monkton, just a few minutes from the studio.  Please inquire for directions from the studio.
