FAQs for Photographers
What camera do you use?
Nikon D3
Why do you like Nikon over let's say, Canon?
Canon is great, Nikon is great... I simply prefer Nikon color, and I am comfortable with it.
Do you PhotoShop your images?
I use PhotoShop as one would use a regular dark room. I enhance the image where necessary using typical darkroom techniques such as dodge and burn. I feel less is better, and less is more realistic. I concentrate on getting the best images I possibly can straight out of the camera, and use PhotoShop to pop those images.
Do you shoot studio lighting or natural lighting?
I prefer to use both studio lighting and natural lighting depending upon what we are trying to accomplish. I do not feel a need to limit myself to only one or the other. I feel that a professional photographer should choose and use her tools wisely depending upon the situation. If I choose to use artificial lighting, I strive to make that lighting look as natural as possible.
Do you use prime or zoom lenses?
Again, I prefer to use both. I am one that does not like to limit myself - I have quite the arsenal ;)
Do you take on interns or students as employees?
At this time, no, I do not. I prefer to work solo; that is just something in my nature.
Do you offer classes?
Yes, I am currently offering classes/workshops for photographers - please visit the STUDIO PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP site.
If there are any questions you wish to ask, please Contact Jodie, and we will update this page with them.
